I had such a great weekend! After a week of sweltering heat, it was beautiful here in Nashville. “Sit outside wearing a T-shirt and jeans” kind of beautiful. I had only one dog besides my own staying here and I was walking to a neighbor's house around the corner a few times a day to take care of their elderly dog.
The three dogs at my house, 3 of my cats and I sat on the couch Saturday afternoon and watched a movie. Mostly I watched, the pets slept.
I also started watching a TV show, Life & Beth with Amy Schumer. I’m reading a book by Peter Singer, The Most Good You Can Do: How Effective Altruism Is Changing Ideas About Living Ethically. The show is laugh out loud funny and the book is awe inspiring.
In the evenings it was almost sweater weather. All day and night, a beautiful breeze blew. I could live that all year. I have no idea what the temp was. I find it’s best not to know so I don’t have any preconceived notions of how hot or cold it is.
My boys will be 5 months old at the end of the month and they are getting big! I can still pick them up, and they will curl into little balls to both be able to sit on my lap, but boy are their legs long. They still sleep in the same crate though. A video of them playing is here youtube.com/...
I have been doing research into what foods the boys like. So far it’s a yes to:
bananas
blueberries
carrots
cucumbers
cheese
oatmeal
tuna
butter
cherries & peaches for Silmiin but not Cooper
Walking home from my last visit with the neighbor dog I realized that what I had felt all weekend was content. That’s an odd feeling for me.
content = a state of peaceful happiness, satisfaction
It’s gone now.
